The 20 participating countries are officially revealed !

The Bocuse d’Or Europe will take place during Brusselicious, the 2012 Year of Gastronomy and as part of Horeca Life.

On March 20th and 21st, 20 talented chefs from all over Europe will face one each other to compete for the Bocuse d’Or Europe title to figure among the top 12 qualifying places for the Bocuse d’Or final 2013.

This year, the competition will be presided by Peter Goossens, one of Belgium’s best chefs, and Alex Atala, a well-known Brazilian chef will be honored this year.

 

20 countries selected and a newcomer: Bulgaria

 

Dedicated to broadening the horizons of the haute-cuisine community, each edition benefits from adding new countries. Now we know the countries which will participate to the Bocuse d’Or in 2012: Germany, Estonia, Italy, Czech Republic, Belgium, Finland,Luxembourg, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, France, Norway, Russia, Denmark, Hungary, Netherlands,Sweden, Spain, Iceland, Poland, Switzerland and Bulgaria which will participate for the first time in the European selection.

Meanwhile, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic will be returning to the competition.

 

 

Only 12 will have their ticket to 2013 Bocuse d'Or final in Lyon. May the best chef win !
